At least 2 civilians were killed and 28 others including 5 members of the Islamic Emirate forces were wounded in a blast today in Ghani district in Nangarhar, said the local department of information and culture.

The blast took place in the morning in Shirgar market, according to the department.

The provincial department of information and culture said the blast was due to a magnetic mine targeting the vehicle of the head of the district health department.

The wounded have been brought to the provincial hospital.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast.
