Kabul Police Command confirmed that an explosion occurred in the Kabul International Cricket Stadium during the Shpagize competition on Friday.

Khaled Zadran, spokesman of Kabul Police Command, said the incident occurred when a grenade was thrown between viewers and many were injured.

Officials of Afghanistan's cricket board said that at least four people were injured in the incident.

Security officials have not revealed the exact number of the people affected in the incident.

Meanwhile, former Afghan president Karzai and UNAMA condemned the attack.
